Expressing Love and Thanks on Mother’s Day

As a son, husband and father, I know that Mother’s Day is a time to thank our mothers, and to thank our wives for being mothers, and finally, to help our children thank their mom for being mothers. I could argue that the holiday is really about all that men do for the women in our lives, but that would get me in serious trouble (well deserved I admit). All kidding aside, Mother’s Day is a special time to honor mom for everything she’s done from Day 1 and on. Around this time of year, I always consider how much my own mother taught me about life. She taught me how to be considerate of others, but also to speak up for myself (which was a key life skill growing up with my brother). She taught me how to value learning, and also the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences with others. For those reasons and so many more, I am grateful to her. But every Mother’s Day I am faced with the same conundrum – how do I quantify that gratitude in words or in a gift? Well – as I’ve been told by my wife many times – I better try!

With this mantra in mind, our team at Wilson & Son Jewelers has gathered some of the most unique and stunning jewelry and other gift ideas to help you make this Mother’s Day as special as ever. Perhaps your wife would feel your deep appreciation with this beautiful Jade Trau stacking ring from Forevermark’s Solo & Duet Collection, crafted in 18k white gold and diamonds. Or tell her you love and admire her with David Yurman’s stunning and iconic Cable bracelets. Another idea we love here at Wilson & Son are these beautiful one of a kind double pear drop earrings from Temple St. Clair, crafted in 18kt yellow gold, peridot and diamond.

No matter how you try (yes you can only try) to quantify your immense gratitude, respect and admiration for your wife, mother, grandmother and all the other mother-figures in your life, visit us at Wilson & Son and we’ll do our best to help.
